An important factor is the control and safety of old English Tutor style homes. Now it is time to have the right equipment to test these timber structures on decay and rot. Another application where the Resistograph could play an important role!
OBSERVING THE CONSTRUCTION WOOD FROM THE INSIDE
When you surround old timbers with new timbers, it has to meet different quality standards. No matter if you have a house or a bridge, playground or homes built on stilts – Stability and Quality have to be the highest standards and guarantee optimal function. Therefore, construction has to be inspected on a regular basis. The problem is most defects and damages are located in the interior of the old surrounded timbers – decay and rot is often only visible if complex investigations or excavations are made. Therefore, we developed instruments, which can examine the interior life of the construction wood. Our test and measuring instruments are fast, uncomplicated, reliable for use and will give you a good picture of the current condition of the wood. This will contribute to the general safety around the structure
FINDS WEAK SPOTS AND ELIMINATES SAFETY RISKS
The Resistograph system is a drilling resistance measuring procedure, that is available in different models and drilling depths. For the examination of construction wood the F-Series and E-Series is best suited for the task. The F-Series is recommended in the field of construction wood inspection due to its accessibility and ease of use. With the Resistograph you are able to examine the construction wood in different heights and directions. The process takes about one minute, which includes the printout of the measuring profile in scale 1:1. The results can be analyzed immediately after the construction wood was tested on stability requirements.
Der Resistograph helps you:
- to find localized areas of decay in construction wood quickly
- to protect the construction wood over time
- to prevent an unnecessary exchange of timber
- to save personnel time and costs
