However, I do have some concerns with running out of battery power when I am out in the field drilling all day. I received 2 batteries with the Resistograph shipment. Although Oliver recommended that I purchase the adapter connection cable, I decided just to go with 2 batteries. Now I am thinking I probably should have bought the adapter cable. Please advise!

A: Dear Scott,
I’d like to thank you for the great feedback on our equipment. And you’re right - your best bet is to purchase the adapter connection cable. You can read more about it in an article on our website (www.imlusa.com) written by IML customer, Sherby Sanborn. Go to News & Info and click on the Archives link to read “Powering Your Resistograph”. You can purchase the adapter connection cable online by going to Products and clicking on Resistograph accessories.

Greg’s recommendation: Go to an Interstate Batteries (www.interstatebatteries.com) store and purchase a 12V/16Ah drycell battery with a 6/2Amp, 12 Volt charger. This is an investment of around $80. Don’t buy a wet cell battery since some IML customers have had problems using wet cell batteries in connection with the IML Resistograph drill. Good luck and feel free to contact me if you have any more questions.
